Nikon Theater at Jones Beach

This unique, 14,354-seat, open-air amphitheater, located on Zach’s Bay in Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, recently celebrated its 25th season of summer concerts with performances by Stevie Wonder, James Taylor and the Jonas Brothers, among others. It’s a perennial hot ticket with its summer lineup of renowned bands and artists. It even has a stellar history, having been constructed under the supervision of Robert Moses in 1952. For many decades Broadway-style musicals were presented there by Guy Lombardo, the popular Big Band leader who lived in nearby Freeport.
